Creative Virtual Assistant

Hi, I’m Sara

I work remotely with clients to help them complete tasks that take them away from their core competencies, helping with everything from daily admin to design services.

I went from managing calendars and email inboxes to Chief of Staff… accidentally.

Then I followed my gut and quit in 2022. But my story doesn’t end there.

So here’s what happened…

I graduated college in 2012 after changing my major 5 times (and that’s not an exaggeration), a short 6 months after marrying my husband who was, and currently still is, an active duty Marine. Shortly after, I moved states and jumped from retail jobs to office admin until expanding our family in 2015 and again in 2017. In early 2019, with my oldest starting school, I found myself looking for work I could balance with both motherhood and being a military spouse.

A family member recommended me for an administrative position at a start-up company– I was compiling data, overseeing inboxes, and managing calendars… at first. As the company grew, so did my responsibilities. I went from an administrative assistant, to Director of Business Operations, to Chief of Staff. Because of my early role in the company, I found myself quickly becoming a jack of all trades. I learned to build websites from hosting to design, troubleshooted all technical issues, built the foundation for Human Resources from employee onboarding and benefits to state-required annual trainings and worker’s compensation insurance, established and oversaw the payroll system,

navigated tax registration in multiple states to employ remote employees in order to expand nationwide, and more. On top of that, I was on track to run the business following the eventual retirement of the CEO.

SO… why’d I jump ship? To put it simply, being a Chief of Staff and eventual CEO just didn’t feel right for me. I thrived with the variety of work, but struggled to feel comfortable in a more traditional role as the company stabilized. I enjoyed the ever-changing task list, while hating being at the top of the chain.

“Jack of all trades, master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one”

What does that experience mean for you?

It means I’ve developed a plethora of skills! It means if you’re looking to hire someone on a project-to-project basis, I’m your girl! It means I’m incredibly adaptable, not afraid of an evolving work scope, and will face a challenge head on!
